     Cape Cod

Waves crash and roll
upon the walls
as I hear the cry
of flying seagulls
I see the lighthouse
When I'm on a boat
if I feel intrigued,
I'll write a note
to my friend about the sea
that beautiful ocean
in front of me.
Cape Cod,  Cape Cod
home to our fish
We fry and we steam them
eat as many as we wish!
Restaurants: Seafood Sam's and more
Grab a bite
It's fish galore
Cape Cod, Cape Cod
what a wonderful place
where along the beaches
you can rest instead of pace.

2nd Place - Ali Carlisle

A Summer on Cape Cod

Waves crashing on the sand,
People walking hand in hand.

Sailboats ripping through the water
Saying "Hello" to Cape Codders.

The ice cream truck's memorial tune,
Grass growing on the dunes.

Shopping on Falmouth's Main Street,
The sand between the toes of your feet.

Watching the sad sun set,
That was a summer on Cape Cod
I'll never forget.

3rd Place - Svetlana Morozova

               Cape Cod

Cape Cod is a beautiful land

The beaches are full of sand

Winters are bitter and white

Summers are pure sunlight

Swimming is fun for all

Colorful leaves form in the fall

After the rain the weather is cool

The sun shines high like a big bright jewel.
