Teaticket Park- (new)   A new community park at the heart of Teaticket, Falmouth’s most densely developed village, Teaticket Park comprises nearly 11 acres of natural open space. The site of the former Joe’s Driving Range and mini-golf, a family business for more than 60 years, the park property is located on Teaticket Highway across from the Driftwood Plaza. Teaticket Park is owned and stewarded by The 300 Committee Land Trust, a private, non-profit organization that, since 1985, has helped preserve and protect more than 2,300 acres throughout Falmouth for conservation, recreation and water protection. Opening in the summer of 2013, Teaticket Park’s early features are a streetscape of trees and handicapped-accessible park entry pathways, with benches and mowed paths down into the meadow for walking visitors. A new parking area accommodates 20 cars. Phases 2 and 3 of the park creation will be installed later: completing the network of meadow paths, adding a boardwalk across the wetland and its sensitive habitat, and creating an observation platform, a picnic grove and an outdoor classroom area in the northeast corner adjacent to the Teaticket Elementary School.

Teaticket Park is a true community project that has relied on a wonderful collaboration of friends and neighbors, local businesses, the Town of Falmouth, the Teaticket Civic Association and The 300 Committee. Keeping it clean, well-maintained and welcoming will require continued support from the community. To join the volunteer stewardship crew for Teaticket Park, please call (508) 540-0876 or email saveland@300committee.org.
