Beaches

   Falmouth has over 68 miles of coastline with an average summer water temperature of 70 degrees (the warmest on the Cape). We have over 12 miles of public beaches for you to enjoy.

   There is a fee for parking. Beach Stickers can be purchased at the Ellen T. Mitchell Bath House at Surf Drive Beach from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday until June 21, then 7 days for the rest of the season.

Beebe Woods - 387 acres of marked trails with paths. Access at the top of Depot Ave.

Walking:
Shining Sea Bike Path: See biking. Newly Extended! This now 10.7 pathway of extraordinary beauty traverses through a natural setting of salt marsh, cranberry bogs, ponds and woodlands, to sandy shores and a busy working harbor. It's the only bikeway on Cape Cod that has a section along the seashore.

Picnicking:
Goodwill Park has a fresh water pond (Grew’s Pond) for swimming with life guard. 
Barbecue and picnic facilities/restrooms. Access from Gifford Street.

Nature Walks & Wildlife:

Ashumet Holly & Wildlife Sanctuary - 45 acres, nature trails, guided nature walks, bird watching, spring seal cruises, summer and fall cruises to Cuttyhunk Island. East Falmouth off of Rt. 151.

Spohr Gardens - 7 acres. A once private garden now open to the public on Oyster Pond. Open all year round during daylight hours. Many identified specimen trees, flowers all season long but particularly outstanding in the spring for the daffodil display.
